2019 China International General Aviation Convention Summit Forum was Successfully Held

The General Summit Forum and the series of sub-forums were successfully held on the opening day of 2019 China International General Aviation Convention (Xi'an Air Show) on October 17th. There were more than 500 representatives from general aviation enterprises, colleges, government organizations, investment institutions, chambers of commerce and navigation industry experts from around the world invited to closely follow the development of the general aviation industry, focus on the theme of demand in the field of general aviation applications, jointly explore new ideas, new models and new measures for future industrial development, condense high-end consensus, achieve multi-party cooperation, and promote the transformation and upgrading of China's general aviation industry.
Xianping Ma, deputy mayor of Xi'an, attended the forum and delivered a speech. Junrong Fan, deputy secretary-general of Xi'an, presided over the summit forum. Zhiwu Guo, Director of the Rescue Coordination and Proposal Administration of the Emergency Management Department, and Youhan Shu, Deputy Chief Representative of the Beijing Representative Office of the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry, delivered speeches on the theme of general aviation emergency rescue management and market supply and demand, and international cooperation in aviation.
Deputy Mayor Xianping Ma pointed out that for a long time, Xi'an has taken aviation industry as the dominant industry and Xi'an aviation base as the core platform, supported key projects and leading enterprises, promoted industrial resource agglomeration, enhanced technological innovation capability, and promoted the improvement of industrial system. It has formed the only aviation industry ecology in China that integrates aircraft design, development, production and testing. The Xi'an Municipal Government will continue to support the development of the aviation industry, vigorously expand and cultivate the civil aircraft market, accelerate the development of civil aircraft research and development and navigation industry, optimize the aviation industry structure, expand and strengthen aviation supporting services.
The keynote speech and dialogue and exchange sessions of the summit forum was presided over by Yuanyang Gao, director of the General Aviation Industry Research Center of Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. Rengang Guo, deputy director of the Department of Policy and Regulation of the Civil Aviation Administration of China, conducted a detailed analysis and interpretation of the general aviation regulatory system restructuring, classification standards and management standards. Martin Robinson, vice president of AOPA in Europe and President of AOPA in the UK, shared the new trends and new directions of general aviation development such as big data and artificial intelligence from an international perspective.
Rui Wang, director of Aviation Rescue Department of Beijing Red Cross Society 999 Emergency Center, deputy secretary general of China Aviation Medical Rescue Alliance; Pengsheng Dong, specialist at First Aircraft Design and Research Institute of China Aviation Industry Corporation; Yong Zhang, deputy general manager of AVIC Xifei Civil Aircraft Co., Ltd.; Bixin Xie, director of Navigation Cloud Technology of Haifeng Navigation Technology Co., Ltd. and Jingkui Wu, vice president of International Sales of Textron Aviation Greater China and Mongolia shared the options themed on the supply and demand relationship, policy orientation, market prospects, industry application and future of the national general aviation industry and jointly contribute to the development of the navigation industry.
Subsequently, secretary general of Shaanxi Aviation Society Xianghe, Chang; China AOPA executive secretary Yong Tang; president of EAA Chicago Regional Branch Wayne; general manager of Hunan Shanhe Technology Xiangfu Zou; vice president of Strategic Consulting at Ernst & Young (China) Consulting Co., Ltd. Qi Chen focusing on the theme of “Building the environment, agglomerating the industry, and promoting the development of the regional general aviation industry” and conducting face-to-face dialogue discussions, the atmosphere was very active.
After the summit forum a series of sub-forum activities were held at the site, such as Xi'an Aviation Base Investment Environment Description and Cooperation Project Matchmaking Meeting, Navigation Convention Rule by Law Sub-forum, General Aviation Agriculture, Forestry and Plant Protection Forum, Aviation New Materials and New Technology Innovation Forum, which focused on the specific areas of navigation industry development policies, laws and regulations, new materials research and development, new technology applications, etc., to conduct in-depth discussions, exchange experiences, share industry frontier information and seek opportunities for cooperation and development.
